SOUND TRACKS: Music Without Borders is a new PBS show created by The Talbot Players, an SF media company formed by Emmy award-winning PBS producer and writer Stephen Talbot, his brother, David Talbot, the founder of Salon.com, and their sister, Margaret Talbot, a staff writer for the New Yorker.

SOUND TRACKS will guide millions of viewers into a world of exciting music, exotic destinations and different cultures. The focus will be on music, the heartbeat of humanity. But this is more than a music show. It is story-driven... an on the road adventure.

Host Marco Werman of public radio's The World heads the cast of reporters – Alexis Bloom, Arun Rath, and Mirissa Neff.

The pilot episode aired in January 2010 and PBS has approved SOUND TRACKS for development as a series to air in 2011.
